"Dance", a mini story.

That night, she danced until her legs gave in. On and on, throughout the passing of the stars, the rhythm pumping through her veins, each beat of the drums hitting the fears away. They all stared at her. Such an endearing energy. But the world on her shoulders, she twirled on herself, afraid that it would stop spinning. An improvised choreography to reflect a sense of composure, a faint hope to bring order to the inner chaos.

So she danced all that she could, wishing that the melody would never stop, for it would start all over again. Singing to herself words no one could hear, deafened by the wall of sound embracing her. With tears in her eyes from her body pushed past its limit, she pressed on, knowing that when she passed out, she'd be saved from dreaming.
